Mission San Juan Capistrano is famous for being the place where the swallows return every year as well as its authentic mission-style architecture. If you like history and learning, then you’ll like Mission SJC. Mission SJC lives up to its self-proclamation of the jewel of the mission system.

With the audio tour and cultural happenings it feels like being back in California fourth grade history, but in a good way. It's interesting how much fun learning for the pure sake of learning can be. Admission is $9 and comes with a free audio tour, which is a whole lot better than deals at other missions (I am referring at you expensive Carmel mission!).

+Score tacos at one of the restaurants literally right outside of the mission. SJC is super famous for their taco joints and authentic Mexican restaurants. Pedro’s Tacos right across the street is most famous. Their guacamole is amazing with their taquitos. Avoid their fish tacos though.
