Best time to go: Fall

The Nixon Library is a great half-day learning experience that features the President's childhood home, a riveting account of his presidency, and of the scandal. The Museum is well put together. It is not overwhelming but quite large.  It handles his great international triumphs and his domestic scandal with grace. There is also a gallery and beautiful “First Lady” garden. The museum also has variety of video exhibits which make the experience even more entertaining.

If you are museum enthusiast, then this place is a must-see. If you are only slightly into museums, this trip is not for you.  If you've never been to a presidential library, you've been missing out on a quality museum that digs below the surface on important topics, instead of the general commercial feel you find in most museums.

Adult admission is $10.
